I purchased this product on a whim. I was mooching about in Manchester Arndale with some time to kill before meeting up with my Personal Shopping client and wandered into Lush. How can you not with such a delicious smell wafting about?
I fancied a treat and was drawn in by the product’s quirky name. Of course it contains Rose Absolute oil and Argan oil. It costs a hefty £16.50 for 225g, so is it worth the dosh?
This is what Lush claims:
“This is chock-a-block with delicious butters and oils to leave your skin looking plumped up, gorgeous, and smelling of roses. Take this into the shower or bath, massage over wet skin and rinse off just as you would a hair conditioner. We’ve used deeply nourishing argan oil, which is thought to have anti-ageing properties as it’s rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and added brazil nut and almond oils as well as cocoa, shea and cupuaçu butters to leave your skin supple and radiant.”
I thought it sounded like a fab idea to use this product while you are still in a warm shower as the thought of getting out of the shower, getting dried, then applying body lotion before getting dressed on a cold Winter’s morning is sometimes not very appealing. So I followed the instructions. To be honest I don’t think it saves any time doing it this way, plus you have to stand around for a minute before rinsing off so you still get a bit chilly. But the biggest thing is you do feel like you are wasting a lot of product by rinsing it off.
I looked at what a few other reviewers have said about this product and some were using it as a straight body lotion in the conventional way so I tried that. Much better!
Do you know what? I absolutely LOVE the smell. I am not normally one for flowery scents but this is quite subtle and not too overpowering. The bathroom smells gorgeous after my shower and it even lingers in the bedroom too. I can smell it on my skin all day and it still lingers the next morning. Beautiful. Plus it leaves my skin so soft without any tackiness.
Some reviewers have reported great results when using it a shaving cream, so I will try this on my legs next time.
So if you fancy a splurge and are looking to treat yourself to a luxury bath product I would definitely give Ro’s Argan a whirl. Truly lovely!
