Are you suffering from the January Blues?

Christmas is over
All the lovely twinkly lights and sparkly decorations have been stored away
 Credit card bills are looming
Perhaps you ate too many mince pies and you are beating yourself up over it?
Maybe you started a diet and struggling?
Did you commit to #dryjanuary and are craving a G&T?
Are your New Year resolutions already out of the window?
The weather certainly isn’t helping either with all this rain

I dread January for this reason – Tax Return. I hate doing it.

So, how can we cheer ourselves up at this gloomy time of year, something that isn’t going to break the bank?
How can we beat the January Blues?
The simple solution is to add a splash of colour to your outfits to help you look and feel fantastic every day! Let’s make it a Blue January!

Blue is the colour of the sea and the sky – it surrounds us everywhere but have you ever thought that there are hardly any blue vegetables, flowers or fruits?

INTERESTING FACT – Did you know that “the blues” does not translate into any other language? In German it means to be drunk, while in Russian it means to be homosexual!

When we wear blue we convey power and authority, but also calmness and peace.

There are many, many blue hues – so how do you know how to wear your blues? To keep it simple, if you have a Cool undertone, mix your blues with pinks and silvers for a stunning effect. If you have a Warm undertone, mix them with yellows, corals and golds for maximum impact.

If you have a Creative Style Personality, why not give Blue hair a whirl?

For the less adventurous, simply add blue nail polish for a contemporary look!

Or experiment with a blue eye shadow – in YOUR best blue of course! How stunning is this with green eyes?

  • Rock some Red! October 18, 2017
THE colour for Autumn/Winter 2017 is red. The catwalks were awash with it at the A/W ’17 shows and as it slowly starts to hit the High Street I’m offering you my expert advice on how to wear it. It is the color of sexuality and can stimulate deeper and more intimate passions in... […]

  • Sunny Side Up August 3, 2017
KEEP IT SUNNY SIDE UP THIS HOLIDAY SEASON Well, the weather certainly isn’t sunny in Manchester right now but if you can’t have the sunshine, you can BE the sunshine! Yellow, the colour associated with all things happy and bright, is often viewed as a ‘tricky’ shade to wear. It is certainly true that yellow... […]
