Freesia Frenzy!

One of the top colours from Pantone for Spring 2014 is Freesia – a blazing yellow that is sure to illuminate any wardrobe this season. It is such a happy colour and wearing it really gives energy. I have a yellow blazer from Zara that is at least two years old and I have been wearing it a lot lately – even when the weather is bad. It cheers me up and reminds me of the sunshine! Freesia is not an easy colour to wear and doesn’t suit everyone. On the right colouring it really shines. Look at how amazing Kate Middleton looked in Sydney in that stunning Roksanda Illincic dress. She has taken a leaf out of the Queen’s book and gone for a colour block in Freesia – a bold choice for Kate but she pulls it off brilliantly!

Not for wall flowers this colour – wear Freesia and prepare to be noticed! If you are not sure you can carry off Freesia – maybe try it in an accessory, away from your face. It looks great teamed with another of Pantone’s Spring 2014 colours – Dazzling Blue.

Confused by colour? You need to be Colourised!

Yellow, the colour associated with all things happy and bright, is often viewed as a ‘tricky’ shade to wear. It is certainly true that yellow... […]
